Love Food Hate Waste aims to raise awareness about the environmental, economic and social impacts of food waste in NSW and reduce the amount of good food being sent to landfill.

The program is run by the NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) and delivered in partnership with NSW businesses, not-for-profit organisations, local councils and community groups who share a commitment to reducing food waste.

The NSW Love Food Hate Waste program is based on the UK Government's Love Food Hate Waste campaign, and operates with a licence to use the UK materials. Some of these resources have been adapted, with thanks, from UK.

If you would like to talk with someone about the program please contact the team by email or phone (02) 9995 5000.

Become a program partner

Love Food Hate Waste invites organisations to become program partners, and provides practical advice and resources to help households, food businesses and other organisations reduce their food waste.
