The Office of Environment and Heritage is working in partnership with state government departments and agencies to deliver the Love Food Hate Waste program across NSW.

Our Love Food Hate Waste state government partners are committed to reducing the amount of good food that is being sent to landfill in NSW by providing the community with practical and easy tips to reduce food waste.

NSW Food Authority

The NSW Food Authority is the government organisation that helps ensure NSW food is safe and correctly labelled.

It works with consumers, industry and other government organisations to minimise food poisoning by providing information about and regulating the safe production, storage, transport, promotion and preparation of food.

The food labels regulated by the NSW Food Authority provide important information to help both consumers and businesses. With good planning and safe handling at every stage of the food cycle, food waste can be reduced and the risk of people becoming ill minimised.

Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority

Land and Property Management Authority - Sydney Harbour Foreshore Authority owns and manages some of the State's most significant assets, including Sydney's heritage and cultural precincts at The Rocks and Darling Harbour.

The Authority has partnered with the Love Food Hate Waste program to reduce the amount of food waste generated through its popular public festival program.
