Leftovers at work

Take advantage of kitchen facilities in your workplace to make a salad or reheat leftovers.

Each year NSW households throw away $694 million worth of leftovers and $180 million in takeaways. Sad, isn’t it? Especially considering that much of this food waste could have been used for lunch the next day!

Every one of us has food in our fridge, freezer and cupboard that we can use to make delicious lunches. By taking last night’s leftovers to work or packing them in your kids’ lunchboxes, you will be keeping food waste out of landfill, making a difference to our environment and saving lots of money.
